On our last day in Queenstown, we set out for a hike. There are so many trails in the Queenstown/Te Anau area that they have something for everyone. They have short, easy hikes if you just want to get out and stretch your legs, or hikes up to 7 hours each direction! The views cannot disappoint wherever you choose to go. We chose a hike that took about 2 hours up and 2 hours down. And of course the summit was spectacular! So that you understand the gravity of how awesome this landscape is, here is also a photo from the plane on our way in.
And here is the summit of our hike:
After getting back to our hostel and washing up, we walked around Queenstown’s main city park and watched a gorgeous sunset. The park had a beautiful rose garden which wafted lovely smells and attracted dainty bumble bees.
Speaking of beautiful views… 😉
Only one more destination left to go- Milford Sound! We saved the best for last…
