However after walking around in high heels for several days combined with running a half marathon the night before made the idea of continuing to “walk” down the strip really unappealing. Of course, the most logical solution to our problem was to pool our money and rent a giant limo to drive us around for the afternoon!
Paris was right next to our hotel so we had walked around there several times before. The outside of the hotel is really the most beautiful part in my opinion!
One place we really wanted to stop was the Venetian. It’s amazing how much they are able to make the inside of a building look like you are strolling through Italy! Of course the entryways were amazing, and the detailing on the ceilings was very impressive.
After the Wynn, we all climbed back in the limo for one last obligatory Las Vegas stop. The weather was absolutely perfect- bright and sunny, warm, and dry. We were completely content sitting back, soaking in the weather, some drinks, and some true relaxation now that the race and all our other plans were already complete.
As I’m sure I’ve said before- Vegas definitely exceeded all my expectations! It is more than the stereotypical gambling and nightclubs. Just seeing the magnitude of the extravagance the hotels and casinos have to offer is worth seeing. We didn’t make it to even half of them! I guess we’ll just have to go back… 😉
